Under Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Sáinz-Villegas first made his debut with the New York Philharmonic at the Lincoln Center, and since then, he has played in more than 40 countries at prestigious locations like the Philharmonie in Berlin, the Musikverein in Vienna, and Carnegie Hall in New York, received critical acclaim from the international press, and played with huge orchestras such as the Chicago Symphony, the Berlin Philharmonic, the National Orchestra of Spain, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Born into a family with a love of music, Pablo Sáinz-Villegas picked up the guitar at the age of six and studied with leading legends of classical guitar, José Luis Rodrigo and Miguel Ángel Jiménez.
He has dominated the world with his performances and has released four astounding studio albums: Guitar Recital (2004), Americano (2015), Volver (2018), and his latest work, The Blue Album, released early this year in January.
His impact on the industry goes far beyond playing the guitar. He has created “The Legacy of Music Without Borders,” a philanthropic project that aims to bring music to people and promote understanding between cultures.
